Mark Habisrittinger

Currently exhibiting at the Lombard Street Gallery, Margate, until 4th November 2018.

A selection of my work

A multitude of abstract lines represent a whole variety of thought processes that occur throughout the day, often overlapping and going off at tangents, with colour, pattern and texture serving as a simple visual language to describe these. The end result is that my paintings are detailed and complex – rather like the vast array of thoughts we all have each day.

About Me

I have always led a creative working life. After graduating in 1986 (BA hons in Graphic Design), I worked as a designer for several London agencies. Over the following six years, I progressed to creative director for an award winning design company, before co-founding my own agency. The company grew steadily, both in size and success, working for a number of national and international clients.

For as long as I can remember, painting has been a constant in my life. Largely self-taught, I bring a designer’s eye for colour and composition to my work, with texture playing an important role, created by building up layer upon layer, a technique which I’ve developed over time.

Married to Amanda Habisrittinger who runs a successful Interior design business, we live in the beautiful Georgian city of Bath.
